1. it is very difficult to handle manuscripts
2. it is not easy to store them
3. the pages are so fragile tht with time the info. written on them erases automaically
4. as the info. always not remain on the pages the makers hav to made another copies of them with the passage of time
5. manuscripts are also very costly
