a good consumer should always
* check the details of the products( such as EXP. date, MUF.date)
to ensure that the product is not too old and is consumable
* Ensure that the retailer is not asking for money more than that is mentioned in the label of the product ( please make sure that the MRP is calculates as per GST since if u go on buying a product manufactured prior to 1 July 2017 then the MRP will be varying with the present day cost of the product)
* THE CONSUMER MUST ASK FOR A 'PROPER' BILL FOR EVERY PRODUCT ( EVEN FOR A 1 rupee chocolate!)
* File a case in the consumer court if the consumer rights are violated.
