Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats are the borders of the Deccan plateau. Eastern Ghats are not continuous because it is divide by many rivers draining in to Bay of Bengal.As Western Ghat is a important water divide, it is continuous and can be passed through passes only....

Eastern ghats has an average height of 600 m but the Western ghats have an average height of 1600 m.
