✔️Adrenaline is known as the emergency hormone because it is released by the adrenal glands under the conditions of stress or excitement.

1️⃣ Adrenaline prepares the body to face emergency.

For that:
(i) It increases the supply of oxygen and glucose to muscles and brain.
(ii) It increases the heart rate and the amount of blood pumped by heart per beat.
(iii) It dilates the air passages and constricts the blood vessels.

2️⃣This hormone is a part of the body’s stress response called the flight response.

3️⃣Adrenaline's effect on muscles accounts for amazing strength. Adrenaline acts on muscles, allowing them to contract more than they can when the body is in a calm or neutral state.

4️⃣Adrenaline facilitates the conversion of the body's fuel source (glycogen) into its fuel (glucose).

⏪Adrenaline is secreted by the adrenal gland and it is secreted directly into the blood which is carried to different parts of the body.

⏪ The main target organs include the heart which beats faster. As, a result, more amount of oxygen is supplied to the muscles.

⏪ The blood supplied to the digestive system and the skin gets reduced due to contraction of muscles around small arteries. This diverts the blood to the skeletal muscles.

⏪ The breathing rate also increases because of the contractions of the diaphragm and rib muscles.
