What was its effect on our struggle for freedom? (i) The Civil Disobedience Movement was started by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930. He wanted to oppose the colonial rule by breaking laws framed by it. This movement started with the Salt Satygraha (Dandi March) organised by Mahatma Gandhi.
