Since the earth is round shape the there is unequal insolation and heat of the sun received by the earth.

EXPLANATION:

    The factors which influence the unequal distribution of sunlight is the Angle of Incidence. The rays of the sun heat the earth surface at different angles because of the round shape of the earth.

    It also depends on the duration of the day and the sunshine and the transparency within the atmosphere. A small angle of incidence will need to cover the large surface of the earth due to which the intensity is less.

   The intensity will be greater at a larger angle and a smaller surface area of the earth.
