EFFECTS of the Third Anglo-Mysore War:

• At the conclusion of the War in 1792, the Treaty of Seringapatnam was signed between Tipu Sultan and the English East India Company.
• Tipu Sultan was forced to cede half his kingdom to the trio of the British, the Marathas and the Nizam.
• Mysore was asked to pay a humongous war indemnity of 330 lakh rupees.
• Tipu Sultan also had to hand over two of his sons as hostages to the Company.
