"effects of air pollution on non living things are when gases from polluted air dissolve in rain causing acid rain, the rain water may settle on leaves leaving acids on it.this acids damage leaves of plants by burning them". when smoke is emitted by vehicles and factories,they mix with the rain to form acid rain.
