Eutrophication is the situation in which some bodies which are present in water start using the nutrients present in the water and then it leads to growth of unreasonable algae and plants. This effects on the animals present in water as now there will be lack of oxygen and other nutrients as well.

Effects of eutrophication are as follows:-

1. It is a very serious concern for long life.

2. Algal bloom is the result of eutrophication.

3. The colour of the lake or rivers gets changed into bright green generally because of algal bloom.

4. Because of the algal bloom sunlight can't reach inside the water properly.
