A landslide can be simply defined as the mass movement of rocks debris or earth down a slope . It often take place in conjunction with earthquake flood and volcanos.

Effect of landslides are as follows-

1 It leads to loss of economic of a country as landslide are one of the major cause of loss of property.

2 It leads to loss of life. There is a great loss of human beings as well as of animals in these landslides.

3 It may also bring changes in the surface structure of a place.Due to landslide the ground may become too hollow or high that results in uneven distribution of land.
