Today Telecommunication has become an integral part of our life. It has both It has made human life very easy. Now human beings can cross the barriers of distance and time. In India, the revolution in telecom services occurred during the period of Rajiv Gandhi in 1990s. He was convinced that India needed to adapt itself to the new technologies emerging in the world, especially computer and telecommunication technology. He initiated ‘telecom revolution’ in India which spread the network of telephonic communication in the country using satellite technology.

New developments in the field of technology like email, multimedia, internet, video conferencing, broadcasting of various channels etc have made our lives far easier than earlier times. We need not move from one place to another to convey our message. Just sitting at one place with a single click our message reach to the opposite party. This show how simpler our life has been made by the revolution in the telecom field.

It has proved beneficial for a variety of departments like government, health, infrastructure, education, business, private companies, non-government organizations, sports, film industry, trade and commerce, banking sector, defense, national security, etc. without telecom we would be unable to fly through planes and helicopters.

Telecommunications affect the activities of people from day to day life. This is the reason why the world is growing at a fast pace today.
