Answer:

The effects of force on an object are as follows:

(1) A force can move a stationary object: A force applied on a  stationary object can make it move. Example of such an effect of force is the force applied to lift a box from the floor.

(2) A force can stop a moving object: A force applied in the opposite  direction of the movement of an object can stop a moving object.  Example of such an effect of force is the force applied to catch a moving ball.

(3) A force can change the speed of a moving object: A force when applied on an object increases or decreases depending upon the strength and direction of the applied force. Example pushing of a moving swing harder in the direction of its swing will only increase its speed.

(4) A force can change the direction of a moving object: A force when  applied to a moving object can also change its direction. Example of such an effect of force is when a baseball player strikes a moving ball thrown at him; it changes its initial direction to a new direction.

(5) A force can change the shape and size of an object: A force when  applied on an object can also change its shape and size. Example of such an effect of force is when we take a ball of dough and apply force to make different shapes and sizes of models out of it.
