The elements of heating devices made of an alloy rather than a pure metal because alloy is a mixture of two or more elements to provide strength and alloys do no get easily oxidized and they have high melting point compared to the metals and they also have high resistivity.

I think alloys, since the utility is multipurpose. for a toaster, it is necessary that it doesn't get heated too much, and also that it gets heated sufficiently.
