President of India is empowered to declare the emergency known as emergency powers.
There are three emergency power:
(i) Proclamation of National Emergency (due to war or armed rebellion or external aggression).
 (ii) Proclamation of State Emergency (due to the failure of constitutional machinery), and
(iii) Proclamation of Financial Emergency (due to badly shaken of financial stability).
