There are two types of respiration: aerobic respiration (in the presence of oxygen ) and anaerobic ( in the absence of oxygen ) . The end products of aerobic respiration are carbon dioxide, water and energy. The respiration is same in all plants and animals. One of the end products of anaerobic respiration are ethanol in plants while in animals it is lactic acid. (Fungi is an animal but it produces ethanol as an end product after anaerobic respiration)The energy released per mole of glucose is very less as compared to aerobic respiration. In this process the plant produces little heat as compared to animals.
