First of all what are fossil fuels?
Fossil fuels : Fossil fuels are the fuels formed by natural processes, such as anaerobic decomposition of buried dead organisms, containing energy originating in ancient photosynthesis. Fossil fuels takes millions of years to form.
Examples of Fossil fuels : oil, natural gas, coal,

The environment effects made by the use of fossil fuels are =>
⭐Global warming : The of fossil fuels release a large amount carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. And carbon dioxide (greenhouse gas) which is responsible for
⭐Respiratory problems : Carbon fuels like wood, coal, petroleum, release unburnt carbon particles. Carbon particles of smoke or ash get suspended in the air. Excessive amount of these particles in the air cause breathing problems.
Example :
⭐May lead to death if inhaled (CO) Carbon Monoxide in large amount : When fuels are incompletely burnt, they release carbon monoxide gas into the atmosphere. This gas is very dangerous as it is poisonous in nature.
⭐Formation in acid rain : Burning of coal and diesel releases sulphur dioxide gas. This gas is extremely corrosive and suffocating in nature. Petrol gives off oxides of nitrogen. The oxides of sulfur and nitrogen get dissolved in rainwater and form acids. This is known as acid rain. This water is very harmful to plants, animals, and various monuments.

=> The process in which any reacts with oxygen to produce heat energy and light energy is called combustion.
=> The material, which on heating in the presence of oxygen, catch fire easily and produce heat and light energy are called Combustible materials.
=> Global Warming is the gradual rise in the earth's temperature caused by high levels of carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere.
=> A condition in which a person's airways become inflamed, narrow and swell and produce extra mucus, which makes it difficult to breathe. Asthma is a common long-term inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs.
