shadow is formed, when an object interrupts the light falling on a surface.
The requirements & conditions for the formation of the shadow are as follows.
1. light source
2. object
The intensity of light and the opacity of the object determines the formation of shadow.
If they are less, then the shadow appears to be dull.
3. The light against the actual light source will make the shadow to appear dull, and will form another shadow. So, the no. of shadows for an unique object is directly proportional to the no. of light sources.
4. The angle of illumination of light reflects in the length of the shadow. Still one end of the shadow will always lie at the contact of the object with the surface (for stationary objects). And for the objects in motion, the size and shape of the shadow tends to change with the conditions.
