What are the events that take place in the ovary and uterus during follicular phase of the menstrual

a. Ovary: 6 -12 ovarian follicles begin growth but only one reaches maturity and forma the Graafian follicle. The latter secretes oestrogen.

b. Uterus : Endometrium thickens. There is development of new blood capillaries and proliferation of uterine gland.
