Exothermic Combination reactions are those reactions in which 2 or more reactants combine to give out a single product and energy in the form of heat.

Example: Cao+H2O. --> Ca(OH)2+ heat energy

The reaction in which heat is released is called exothermic reaction.

Examples:

✍rusting of iron

✍ burning of coal

C+O2--->CO2+Q(heat)

✍slucked lime is prepared by adding water to quick lime
CaO+H2O--->Ca(OH)2+Q(heat)
