The factors affecting strength of carboxylic acids are
a) electron pushing effect containing group -> In presence of +I effect containing group the acidity of carboxylic acid decreases as the the polarity of OH bond decreases. On the other hand in presence of electron withdrawing effect containing group the acidity of carboxylic acid increases.
b) the acidity of carboxylic acid increases when the stability of conjugate base increase either by resonance or by the electron withdrawing effect containing group.
