Presently the nurses are required to be highly trained and should be critical thinkers besides being very well educated.

One of the reasons why because now a days they have to make more complex clinical decisions that 50 years a go would have been made by doctors.

Since the demands of the population is changing on healthcare, the scope of the midwives and the nurses are changing too.

This had led to a change in the education and training of the nurses to ensure that the nurses and the midwives can take on a complex and new roles that are ever changing,
