The factor for crop variety improvement are
1. hybridisation - In this process the crossing between genetically dissimilar plants to produce a new type of hybrid.
it have three types
a) intervarietal- the cross is made between two pants belonging to different varieties of crop.
b) interspecific- the cross is made between two plants belonging to different species of same genus.
c) intergeneric- the cross is made between two plants belonging to different genera.
2.Genetically modified crops- It involves manipulation of crop plant for increasing their yeil.
