Here are some factors which affect the rate of evaporation:

1. Surface Area: The more the surface area exposed of the liquid, the higher the rate of evaporation. Surface area is directly proportional to evaporation.

2. Humidity: The more the humidity, the less the rate of evaporation. Humidity is inversely proportional to evaporation. This is so because the surrounding air does not have anymore or has very less space to occupy more water molecules.

3. Temperature: Temperature increases the kinetic energy of the molecules of the liquid, hence increasing the rate of evaporation. Temperature is directly proportional to evaporation.

4. Wind speed: The higher the wind speed, the faster the evaporation as the air is continuously moving and has space to accommodate some more liquid molecules.

5. Nature of liquid : The rate of evaporation also depends upon the nature of the liquid, as lower the boiling point of the liquid, the faster it evaporates.
