Diffusion in physics  is defined as the movement of molecules from a region of high concentration level  to a region of low concentration level.

The factors that affect diffusion are:-

1.) Temperature — As the  temperatures increases the kinetic energy of the diffusing molecules increases and  hence the diffusion rate increases.

2.) The density of the molecules — High density increase collision rate hence the rate of diffusion also increases.

3.) Concentration gradient — The higher is  the concentration gradient, the higher the diffusion rate of the substance.
