Ionic bonding is a chemical bond between a positive ion and negative ion. Ionization energy, electronegativity, and lattice energy are the factors that influence the formation of ionic bonds of elements.

Factors on which the formation of ionic bonds depend:-

=> Low ionization enthalpy:-

As we know that , it is the amount of energy required to remove the most loosely bound electron from an isolated gaseous atom to form an isolated gaseous atom to form a positive ion.

Lesser the ionisation enthalpy ---> Greater is the ease of losing valence electron.

=> High electron gain enthalpy:-

Higher the value of negative electron gain enthalpy greater will be the ease of formation of anion.

=> High lattice enthalpies:-

the amount of energy released when 1 mole of ionic compound is formed from its gaseous constituents ...

Higher the value of lattice enthalpy --> Greater will be the ease of formation of the ionic compounds.

Hope it helps u out♐
