The factors that affect the internal resistance are as follows :-

(i) Surface area of electrodes

The internal resistance is inversely proportional to the surface area of electrodes.

(ii) Distance between electrodes

The internal resistance is directly proportional to the distance between the electrodes.

(iii) Concentration of ions

The internal resistance is inversely proportional to the concentration of ions.

(iv) Temperature of the electrolyte

The internal resistance is inversely proportional to the temperature of the electrolyte.

Hope it helps !
