Answer:

There were several factors that encouraged the Arabs to settle in the Emirates .

A variety of Geographical areas: including Plains and Valleys, helped inhabitants to practice a variety of activities like fishing, pearl diving, boat building and trade.

The vast and high areas : the mountains of Oman stretched from the north of Masandam (top of mountains) near the Strait of Hormuz to Ras Al-Hadd in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula.

The mountains were the sources of water, which attracted people to settle in the area in addition to using them as a natural shields protecting inhabitants from invaders.  They also built castles and towers on the mountains.

Desert Range : having such a natural feature along with natural wealth of resources encouraged many Arab tribes to migrate to the region

The Arab azd tribe

The Arab Azd tribe was the first tribe to settle in the Emirates region and the Sultanate of Oman.

The sources also stated that the Azd Tribe came to Oman under the leadership of Malik bin Fahm Al-Azdi.

Some other North Arabian tribes followed the .Azd Tribe and stayed nearby (Bani Abd Al-Qays, Qudha’a, Bani Tamim, Bani Osama bin Lo’ay bin Ghalib bin Fehr- one of the notable families in Quraish).  They resided in Twam.

In the Early Islamic era both North and South Arab Tribes had good relations and had a Tribal Confederation to ensure peace, security and economic prosperity.
