The factors to be considered while selecting seeds from a plant are:

  • The selection of seeds is the first and foremost step for growing a plant as good seed selection results in good yield and quality of the offspring.
  • While selecting seeds should be infection and disease-free as it can destroy the whole crop.
  • Weeds should be separated aside as some weeds can be dangerous for the crop. for this purpose weedicide such as 2-4D is a better option.
  • The germination period, water and nutrients requirements of the seed should be checked by farmers before using it in the agricultural field.
