What are the favourable qualities given to gold when it is alloyed with copper or silvet for the purpose of making ornaments​

We cannot make ornaments with pure gold as it is too much soft ... Thus , addition of copper or silver makes the gold ductile and hard enough for making ornaments...

For extra info : You won't find 24 carat gold jewelry in any shop because 24 carat is purest form of gold....
