1.The rivers,after descending from the mountains deposit pebbles to the slopes of the shiwaliks it's known as Bhabar

In Terai(lies about 15 to 30km wide)
1.South of the bhabar belt streams and rivers re-emerge and create a wet,muddy and boggy region known as terai
2.This region is full of forest and wildlife
