Green revolution is a step taken by the government to improve the yields from agriculture. In traditional farming, normal seeds were used. But in green revolution HYV seeds were used which gave high yields. ... In green revolution, fertilisers and pesticides were used which brought more yields.

The features of green revolution r-:

1- it made India self-sufficient in case of food grains .

2-it also increase the income of farmers .

3- it also lead to the production of food grains on a large scale.

the following things which made it different from traditional farming r

1-excessive use of fertilizers lead to land degradation.

2- excessive use of water lead to the depletion of ground water.

it will really help .
