3) The altitude in Ladakh varies from about 3000m in Kargil to more than 8,000m in the Karakoram.
4) Due to its high altitude, the climate is extremely cold and dry.
5) The air at this altitude is so thin that the heat of the sun can be felt intensely and the area experiences freezing winds and burning hot sunlight.

They are:—
1. Cold deserts, i.e., there the temperatures are quite low, I think around 5-6 Degree Celsius
2. Recieve low precipitation
3. No camels. Camels are replaced by mountain goats, sheeps, yaks, etc.
4. No cacti or succulent plants. These are replaced by Coniferous trees.
5. Thin atmosphere due to low altitude
6. Bound by Himalayas
7. Many pleasant scenes and sites. There are several lakes, which I think are formed due to snow melting.
