The features of national health policy are as follows :-
* Health expenditure by government of India under this policy which targeted to be 2.5 % of the GDP.
* One interesting feature is to Promote Research on Tribal Medicines.
* Establishing a Public Health Management Cadre in each state.
* It has plans to set up a safe and cost effective mechanism for prevention and therapy, called AYUSH (Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy Unani Siddha and Homeopathy) specially promoting yoga academies and professions.
* Involvement of Private sector in Tier ii and Tier iii cities. Emphasised by NITI Aayog.
