The five pillars of Islam are :

1. Shahadah-The profession of faith : The Shahada is the Islamic belief-"There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."

2. Salat or Prayers : Five times in a day at appropriate time.

3. Saum (Roza) or Fasting : Fasting for a whole month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a month of Islamic calendar.

4.  Zakat or Charity : Every well-off Muslim had to donate 2.5% of his total wealth and assets for the poor.

5.  Hajj or Pilgrimage : Pilgrimage to Mecca once in life.

The first two pillars are compulsory in almost all conditions. The last three depends upon the health and wealth of individual.
