• Power sharing at the same level ( Horizontal power sharing)

Ex: Legistative and judiciary

• Power sharing at different levels( Vertical power sharing)

Ex: Central Government and state governments

• Power sharing among different social groups

Ex: Community government in Belgium.

• Power sharing among different pressure groups and parties etc.

Ex: Coalition government among parties to hold power..
