There are several types of functions of operating system such as follows:

1) Device management.

2) Memory management.

3) Runs software.

4) Professor management.

5) File management.

6) Security.

1) Device management:

★ This manages both the input and output and also controls the working of both input and output.

2) Memory management:

★ This assigns memory to several types of programs, this also helps us to free the memory when it is not in use.

3) Runs software:

★ This runs the application software such as Paint, MS word, MA PowerPoint, others, etc..

4) Processor management:

★ This manages the working of the processer by allowing various jobs into it.

5) File management:

★ This helps to track the information about creation, deletion, coping, storing of files as a log.

6) Security:

★ This secures the passwords personal information and helps from the cyber hackers.
