The function of liver:

  1. Liver is the largest gland in the body which actively secretes bile juice.
  2. The bile juice thus secreted by liver plays a important part in successful digestion.
  3. It is situated in abdominal cavity just below the diaphragm and has two lobes.
  4. The hepatic lobes are the structural and functional unit of liver containing hepatic cells in form of cord.
