are these both soft endoplasmic reticulum and rough endoplasmic reticulum

Anonymous: Rough endoplasmic reticulum (rer) it looks rough because ribosomes are attached to it's surface
Anonymous: They are the sites of protein synthesis
Anonymous: Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (ser) - it looks smooth because ribosomes are not attached to it's surface they are the sites of f

Hey mate !

Here's ur answer ⬇⬇⬇

▶Rough endoplasmic reticulum and smooth endoplasmic reticulum have same functions.only the difference is that rough endoplasmic reticulum have ribosomes on its surface whereas smooth endoplasmic reticulum doesn't have ribosomes.

▶main Characterstics:
1)irregular network Of tubular double membrane.
2)it is continuos with the plasma membrane on the outside and the nuclear membrane on the inside.

▶Functions of endoplasmic reticulum:-

1)supportive framework for the cell.
2)synthesis and transportaion of proteins amd fats.

Hope it's helpful✌
