▪️ To Select the National Government:-

Parliament of India consists of the President, the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha .One of the most important functions of the Lok Sabha is to select the executive or the national government. After the Lokh Sabha elections , the leader of the party with the majority of the elected members is invited by the president to form the government.

▪️ To Control,Guide and Inform the Government:-

The parliament keeps a check on the ministers and their work. MPs have the right to question the ministers during the question hour. Opposition parties highlight drawbacks in various policies and programs of the government and mobilise popular support for their own policies.

▪️Law-Making:-

Law-making is a significant function of Parliament.
