What are the functions of bone, cartilage and ligaments?

1.Bone supports and protects various organs of the body and helps in movement .
2. Cartilage is a soft cushion like substance covering the end of the bone .It acts as a shock absorber and helps in reducing friction between the bones.
3 . These are strong bands which connect bone to bone at the joint, these are ligaments.

Bones provide support and flexibility to the body parts, it also anchors the muscles and support the main organ of the body.

Cartilage provide shape and skeletal support to the body, and also smoother bone surface at the joints.

Ligaments strengthen the joints and permit normal movement .
