cell wall provides structural support and protection to the cell organelles
 cell wall also allows passage of selective molecules only because it is a selectively permeable membrane

Cell wall is the outer covering of the cell, present only in plants

Its functions are as follows :-

⇒ It maintains shape of the cells.

⇒ it protects the cell from mechanical injury.

⇒ It allows the material to pass in and out of the cell.
