DNA polymerase is an enzyme that helps in the replication of DNA ( that is formation of two molecules of DNA from a single molecule).

This enzyme uses the template DNA ( which has the polarity 3' to 5') and adds dNTPs ( deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates, which are the building blocks of DNA) according to the complementary base that is present in the template.

According to the Watson and Crick base pairing-

Adenine pairs with Thymine and Guanine pairs with Cytosine.

Thus, DNA polymerase helps in the replication of DNA.
