Functions of Endoplasmic Reticulum:-

1). It provides a basic frame work of the cell and provide surface for various biochemical activities.

2). It transport various material synthesized by the cell like protein and carbohydrates.

3). It helps in cell division.

4). It plays a vital role in the synthesizing protein, lipids etc.
