  • It gets information-carrying nerve impulses of   all the sensory organs of the body.
  • It correlates the different stimulus from a distinct sense  organs and gives an appropriate response.
  • It responds to the impulses produced by sensory  organs by sending its own commands to the muscles  and glands causing them to work accordingly.
  • It saves information so that the behaviour of human  being can be changed according to past experiences.
