Lysosomes contain powerful enzymes which can digest inorganic substances thus providing an intracellular digestive system. Lysosomes also have the capability to digest themselves once the enzymes have liberated. Hence they are called 'Suicidal bags'.

Lysosomes are the organelles of the eukaryotic cells which contains different digestive and powerful enzymes. They are in the action of digesting unwanted and waste components of the cell. Hence, they are called the garbage bags of cells. They are also called the suicide bags as they digest their own cell when any physical part is malfunctioning.
