Its main function is to control involuntary actions such as change in pupil size,
neck and trunk.It is also known as optic nerves.

the function of midbrain is that it controls all the reflex movement of head, trunk ,in response to auditory and visual stimuli. it also controls movements of eye muscles, shape of pupil and eye lens..
