testis is the primary sex organ in males for the production of male gamates(sperms)
it's extra-abdominal due to maintain a temperature of 2-2.5℃ for spermatogenesis. our body temperature is about 37℃ which is not suitable for spermatogenesis. they're located in a pouch outside the abdomen called scrotum
