Cell wall is the outermost layer of plant cell.It gives shape and a certain degree of dignity to the cell wall without interfering with the funtions of cell membrane. It is freely permeable allowing the substances in solution to enter and leave the cell without hindrance. It is a non living substance. It is made up of cellulose.
