Answer:

A fundamental quantity is that which is independent of any other unit or which can neither be changed nor can be realtors to any other fundamental unit.

Eg. Length

S.I unit -metre(m)

C.G.S unit- centimetre(cm)

Derived units are this which depend on the fundamental units or which can be expressed in terms of the fundamental units.

Eg.Area

S.I unit -square metre

C.G.S unit -square centimetre.
