What are the fundamental rights as mentioned in our constitution ?

|| ★ || What are Fundamental Rights ? || ★ ||

The Indian constitution was written after a very sincere and prolonged discussions which were mainly on the idea of giving the citizens some rights or privileges which they were denied under the British rule .

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the chairperson of the drafting committee and made a constitution which is one of the finest ones in the world ensuring most grants and privileges commonly called as the term RIGHTS .

They are as the specific acts or privileges accepted by all the citizens . Fundamental Rights are the rights given to everyone .

Our constitution grants six basic fundamental rights which are further divided into articles and sets .

These fundamental rights are :

  1. Right to Equality
  2. Right to freedom
  3. Right against exploitation
  4. Right to freedom of religion
  5. Cultural and educational rights
  6. Right to constitutional remedies

These rights can be particularly divided and explained as :

|| ★ || Right to Equality || ★ ||

  • Right to Equality usually depicts the articles from Article 14 To Article 18

  • This write usually indicates that all individuals are equal irrespective of their colour , gender , religion, status , etc.

  • Any citizen may use this right to stop discrimination against them maybe on base of anything or anyone .

  • This right and shows equal opportunities

  • It has abolished untouchability and titles except military and educational titles .

  • There are particulare exceptions to be paid focus upon that is government gives special provisions for women , children and for advancement of backward classes like SCST .

  • This right is divided into to 6 more parts and 2 sub parts .

  1. Freedom of speech and expression which means that anyone or any person is free of expressing his or her views without any fear or suppression .
  2. Freedom to assemble peacefully without any arms ensures that people can come together and discuss anything in groups or live in clans with a little limitation of being without or not carrying any arms or weapons .
  3. Right to form association means that any person if has an interest to form an association or group he is free to do so .
  4. Freedom to move freely
  5. Freedom of residence and settlement means person is free to move , reside or settle anywhere in the country .
  6. Freedom of profession means any person irrespective of their parental jobs or work are expected or free to take any profession of their choice.

  • These rights come under Article 19 To Article 22

  • The person if arrested for something cannot be detained without any grounds , can defended by a lawyer of his or her choice , should be produced before the magistrate within 24 hours .

  • Right to Education ensure that all all the children between age of 4 to 16 years have free and compulsory education which was enforced in 2009 through Right To Education .

  • This right is given under Article 23 to Article 24

  • This right protect any one or everyone from forced labour , slavery and human trafficking .

  • This right also ensure that no child below 14 years is forced to work .

|| ★ || Right to Freedom of Religion || ★ ||

  • This is constituted between Article 25 To Article 28

  • This right enforces no particular state religion and give its citizens freedom to follow and preach the religion of their choice.

  • Anyone of any right can form institutions of their religion and follow charitable purposes .

|| ★ || Cultural and Educational Rights || ★ ||

  • These rights given equal opportunities and freedom to pursue any culture , religion and give privileges to minorities .

  • Minorities can conserve their language and culture by educational institutions set up .

  • These rights are constituted between Article 29 To Article 30

|| ★ || Right to Constitutional Amendment || ★ ||

  • The citizens have a right to approach the judiciary under constitutional remedies of their rights are violated in any circumstances .

  • This Right empower supreme court to issue orders and enforce rights .

  • Constituted between Article 32 to Article 35

All of these rights together ensure a peaceful and safe living of all citizens .
